チック・コリアがこの世を去って随分経った。早いものだ。
1980年頃の盤から聴かなくなったな、と思う。FriendsからThree Quartetsまでかな。やはり1967年のSweet Rain(Stan Getz)、1968年のNow He Sings, Now He Sobsから1971年A.R.C.あるいは1972年のReturn to foreverあたりまでが好みかな、と思う。
それ以前、1966年の初リーダ作Tones For Joan's Bonesあたりは、後年のリリカルな作風とマッコイっぽい曲が混じっていて面白い。新主流派っぽい感じ、ではあるのだけど。
