Jeff Parkerのギターは饒舌、ということはなく、粛々と空間を紡いでいくような感じが良くて、好み。特にソロがいいかな。

近作のSuite for Max BrownがNonesuchからも出て驚いたが、分からなくもない。音の在り方、がNonesuchの奏者と交叉している。
聴き手として面白いな、と思っているのは、別にアコウスティックな音を出したり、楽器を使ったりしている訳ではないのだけど、造り出す音が醸し出す自然な心象。ECMはアコウスティックな音に残響を塗してアコウスティック感満載なのだけど、そこで感じる違和感と対極。原雅昭さんのJazz thingを読んでいて膝を叩いたのは、ECMの音とエレクトロミュージックについての論考。音の空間的なデザインが、エレクトロミュージックのような響きを生んでいること。
だから下のインタビューで、パーカーが
今回、私がやりたかったことはまさにそこで、インプロを主体としたすごくオーガニックな音楽なんだけども
と語っていたが、なんかオーガニックというコトバで分かったような、分からないような。
AACMに関係しながら、ジャズから緩りと浮遊しながら越境しているパーカーの音をもう少し聴こうかな、とも思って、全く不完全なdiscographyとサブスク・リンクを作成。土日に緩りとした気分になれたらいいなあ。
