1980年頃に杉山和紀のBellowsレーベルからのレコードで知ることになったバイヤード・ランカスターの初期のレコード。

シャノン・ジャクソンのバンドにも在籍していたようだ。

かなりレアなレコードのようで、Discogsではトンでもない価格になっている。マスターはなく、レコード盤起こしの再発のようだ。

Bellowsのレコードを聴くと案外ジャズだったので驚いた、と書いたが、このアルバムもアヴァンギャルド的な印象はない。電気ベースがグルーヴする中でジャズを吹く、ブラインドだとStrata-eastあたりのアルバムと区別がつかない感じ。1970年頃のこんな感じの音は好み。これがフィラデルフィアあたりの音なのか？少しだけ気になる。
